Tieflings are descendents of the noble class of a long-fallen empire that made a pact with the lords of the nine hells.  This pact manifests as an innate resistance to fire, infernal appearance, and a silver tongue.

Tieflings are disliked due to their appearance and the tendency for misfortune to follow them.  Many are nomads, travelling between towns in caravans composed exclusively of their race.

Tieflings are human-sized, but cannot wear human helmets without modification due to their horns.  They can wear normal armour, though they may be uncomfortable due to their tails.
